Yet, based exclusively on the titles headed to the service in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft remains determined to attract subscribers with quality releases on its flagship service.
The Available Now Titles
A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Starting January 13th, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of terror and combat."
Intriguing Niche Additions
However, the more modest titles coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
In summary, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service by themselves. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — transforming them into excellent choices to experience a revival on Game Pass.
